Partnering with William Rawn Associates, ABA completed the award-winning renewed and expanded Cambridge Public Library. The restored 27,000 sf historic library building connects Rawn’s new 76,000 sf glass wing, supporting the Library’s extensive collections and programs. ABA led an extensive participation and review process, renovation of the historic library, and interior design fit-out and furnishings for the entire complex. The renewal has enabled the Library to dramatically expand its programs and services, attracting more than 2,000 visitors every day. This project has achieved LEED Silver and has received more than 20 design awards, including the 2015 AIA Honor Award for Architecture.
