The award-winning 53,000-square-foot Daniel Arts Center includes a mainstage and black box theaters, rehearsal spaces, and a dance studio, as well as office, classroom, and support spaces. Visual arts facilities include painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, electronic arts studios, and photo labs. The design responds to the site’s natural features and the college’s ambitions for a dynamic facility for teaching and performances. This project serves as a touchstone for more recent ABA designs focused on the fine and performing arts, including the Brooks School Center for the Arts, the St. Paul’s School Arts project, the New England Conservatory Student Life and Performance Center, and The Wheeler School’s Gilder Center for the Arts.
