KATHLEEN GERNER

Katie Gerner has managed complex academic and civic projects from planning and conceptual design through project completion. Her focus on quality assurance and project delivery is an integral resource to ABA, extending from existing building assessments to historic preservation, contemporary design, and building technology. As Project manager for the United States Embassy in Athens, she leads the redesign and expansion of the entire embassy complex, including Walter Gropius’ landmark Chancery building. Katie was Project Manager for Saieh Hall for Economics, a four-building complex at the University of Chicago, winner of national design awards, including the Frank Lloyd Wright Honor Award from AIA Illinois.

Katie holds a Master of Architecture Degree from Tulane University and has been a guest Design Critic and Portfolio Reviewer at the Boston Architectural College.
